ESTA Application for international travelers to the United States
This website contains and display information for the travel authorization for the United States ESTA: (Electronic System Travel Authorization).
A travel permit with ESTA is usually valid for 2 years. Within this period you can visit the United States through the Visa Waiver program several times.
You must be aware that there may be a number of cases that require you to either renew or apply for a new travel permit.
Among other things, if you acquire a new passport or make a substantial change to your name or citizenship.
You are advised that you can only have 1 valid travel permit attached to your passport. As well as be aware that every traveler to the United States must have their own personal and valid travel permit.
If any of the following conditions apply to you, apply for a new ESTA:
- You have changed your legal name
- You have changed your citizenship
- You have changed sex
- You get a new passport
- Your answer to one of the Yes / No questions in the ESTA application has changed
- Your existing ESTA visa has expired (this happens automatically after 2 years)
It was decided on January 12, 2009 that all citizens who are travelers to the US are required to apply for ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization). ESTA is thus a required travel permit and a requirement for entry into the United States. The ESTA requirement applies to all travelers to the United States through the Airway or Seaway under the Visa Waiver Program. In order to apply for ESTA, a valid passport is required, and travelers without an approved ESTA travel permit will be denied access on any flight to the United States.
How long does it take me to apply for an ESTA Travel Permit?
The ESTA application form takes an average of 15-20 minutes to complete. When submitting your application, all your information will be reviewed by a certified ESTA service provider, and the application will be forwarded to the official US Government for consideration.
If the travel permit is rejected, it is possible to apply for a non-immigrant visa with the US Embassy.
Which countries are included in the Visa Waiver program?
The following countries are currently part of the Visa Waiver program: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Poland, Holland, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Poland, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and England.
